He is a qualified pharmacist as well as a registered Therapeutic Reflexologist and Complementary Healthcare practitioner.

He studied pharmacy at the UNIVERSITY OF WESTERN CAPE (UWC) and received the BPHARM degree in 1984.
As a student, he received the following awards:

for OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENTS as TOP STUDENT in those years. 

Achieved a distinction pass in Pharmacology in both 3rd and final year- a university first till then and as a result was awarded the Pharmacology Prize Award in both years.

Was awarded an Academic Award Shield from the Dept of Pharmacy (UWC) in 1985 as recognition for the TOP FINAL YEAR STUDENT in 1984 

A registered and practising pharmacist since 1985-2004, of which 18 years as a pharmacy owner.

Studied Therapeutic Reflexology and Meridian Therapy at the INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF REFLEXOLOGY AND MERIDIAN THERAPY (ISRMT) and qualified in 2001

He holds both THE DIPLOMA IN THERAPEUTIC REFLEXOLOGY AND MERIDIAN THERAPY

Passed the 200 hours of case studies with distinction

He is a registered and practising Therapeutic Reflexolgist and Complementary Healthcare Practitioner since 2001.

In 2008, obtained a Certificate in Homotoxicology from the INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY OF HOMOTOXICOLOGY (IAH), Baden-Baden Germany

He also has a thorough knowledge of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Western Herbal and Homeopathic products, through his qualifications and extensive experience.

In 2017, obtained a Certificate in Sunnah and Therapeutic Cupping from the RAHMAH HIJAMA AND WELLNESS CLINIC (RHWC), which is accredited by the Hijama Association of SA

In 2000, he became interested in natural fertility after 2 of his patients conceived after struggling for a couple of years.
This was part of the compulsory 200 hours of case studies in which an overall 83.6% success rate was achieved in treating an array of medical conditions using natural and holistic therapies.
  
Experience and further research into holistic factors relating to infertility lead to the development of the unique Laurus Naturale`FERTILITY PROGRAM which was launched in September 2003. Since then, his practice focuses primarily on gynaecological conditions and infertility using only natural medications and complementary therapies.

He works on a professional level with the patient's gynaecologist or conventional fertility specialist. The respect that he has earned from conventional fertility clinics has been brought about through his professionalism, passion to assist couples, but most importantly, through the successes that he has achieved, often with challenging patients.
